What a Fairytale Christmas adventure it was! A great big thank you to everyone who turned out to join in the fun and make it such a wonderful community event. We are thrilled that 6000 people were able to be part of the event and we have received so much encouraging feedback. Everyone loves to sing Carols at Christmas time, it’s a favourite pastime for many and an irreplaceable part of the festive season. Fairytale Christmas is jam-packed full of Christmas songs and the addition of a live Big Band, is only going to make it a more memorable experience for all. Join with Captain Hook and his Pirate Crew, or maybe the delightful Princesses or maybe Little Red Riding Hood to celebrate Christmas with some of your most loved Christmas Carols.

We are counting down the days until Fairytale Christmas 2010… It is going to be bigger and better than ever. As a community event for the whole family, the show strives to cater for every age. From the child totally amazed as their favourite Fairytale Character steps out onto the stage, larger than life, to the adult who is drawn into the excitement and story by irresistibly likeable Characters and a witty storyline full of laughs and hilarious moments. We guarantee you’re sure to be entertained and taken on a fun-filled ride of excitement, carol singing, non-stop laughs and of course, Christmas wonder.

Hello Boys and Girls

I was so excited when I went to my mail box last week and there amongst the thousands of letters was an invitation from NEW HOPE Church inviting me to Fairytale Christmas at the Empire Theatre in Toowoomba. What a hoot !!!! I love Big Band music so I promise you I’ll be there. Fairytale Christmas is one of my favourite shows and as I travel around the world on my pre-Christmas run, checking out the sleigh and making sure all is in order for my Christmas Eve flight, I make sure I have the date of Fairytale Christmas in my diary and make sure I’m somewhere over Australia and close to Toowoomba so that I can drop in. I CAN”T WAIT IT”S GOING TO BE SOooooooooo EXCITING. I do hope CAPTAIN HOOK and his band of pirates are behaving and don’t get on my naughty list again this year.
Well must away, still lots to do in the toy house and lots of letters to read… See you soon MEEEeeeeeRYYYYY CHRISTmaaaaaaaaassssssss

SANTA

It is always a challenge to come up with a script that exceeds the previous year and continues to take the production to new heights, but this year’s definitely ticks all the boxes. Whether 4 years old or 40 years old, you’re sure to be in stiches as the adventure unfolds and our Fairytale characters come to life in a magical way. Some new arrivals will certainly turn the table on some of our favourtie characters and live music from the Cool Nights Big Band is going to be a blast. I can’t wait… Hope to see you there!

As exciting as the Fairytale Christmas stage show is, we are really passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. This year we are launching the ‘Make it a Fairytale Christmas’ Campaign. The simple aim is to encourage a movement of people to initiate an ‘Act of Kindness’ that will impact the life of someone in their world at Christmas. It’s as simple as cooking a meal, buying a gift, washing a car, mowing a lawn, writing a letter and the list goes on. It doesn’t matter how big or how small, just that you took the time to consider someone else. Why not take up the challenge and ‘make it a Fairytale Christmas’ for a neighbour, a friend, a work colleague, a family member or even a stranger. The count down is on with only six weeks to go and we are are so excited about some of the new additions to the show this year. Just in case you haven’t heard yet, this year’s show will feature a live, on stage big band. This is something we have dreamed about doing for many years and it will be a whole new interactive experience. We are so fortunate to partner with the Cool Nights Big Band and they are going to blow you away. As always there will be some new characters which are sure to make you laugh and lot’s of surprises in true Fairytale Christmas style. As Christmas fast approaches, everything is full steam ahead for Fairytale Chritmas 2010. Sets are being finalised, scripts are being tweaked, costumes are being made and a huge advertising campaign is underway. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger and we are so looking forward to sharing the experience with everyone this year. Start thinking about who you could invite to this wonderful community event… whether young, old or anywhere in between, it is sure to touch their heart in a special way.
